UAB Baseball will begin the 2016 season at home on February 19 against Arkansas State, and will play at Regions Field.

The Blazers will have 31 home games this year, with 18 of those games being played at Regions Field where the Birmingham Barons play their home games. In order to get as many games as possible at the beautiful Regions Field, the majority of the Blazers’ homes games will come in the first half of the schedule. Eleven of of their first 13 games will all be played at Regions Field.

March 11-13 UAB will play three games at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Neb. where the College World Series is played. They’ll play three games against Creighton there.

March 15 and 16 the Blazers will host SEC foe Ole Miss at Regions Field before opening up Conference USA play against Louisiana Tech that weekend.

They will play Alabama at Regions Field on March 22, and then they will travel to Tuscaloosa on April 12. The Blazers will travel to Auburn later in the year on May 17.

UAB will also travel to Columbus, Ohio to face the Buckeyes May 3-4. They will play Rice on the road this year, but will play the defending CUSA Baseball Tournament champion FIU Panthers at home May 13-15.

The conference tournament will again be held in Hattiesburg, Miss. starting on May 25.

Last season the Blazers finished with an overall record of 33-25 and lost to FIU in the conference tournament championship game.
