UAB looked like they were going to end there curse at UTEP Thursday but instead could not pull out a win. This is the second time they have lost to a sub .500 conference team.

UTSA does not have anywhere near the size that UTEP had. Chris, HaHa, and Tosin will need to dominate in the paint. This game should be much easier for UAB’s big men to get a lot of touches on the block and have easy success. UAB will win this game in the paint.

Score Prediction: UAB 75, UTSA 67

Well the social media crowd was right, UTEP upset UAB on Thursday night 63-59. I don’t really care that y’all are saying the Miners have been playing well of late and that they are getting better. They had SIX WINS before the game. UAB has lost to FIU and UTEP in conference who combined don’t even have as many wins as UAB. That’s unacceptable. To be a prominent Mid-Major you just can’t lose those games. It can’t happen. You have to prepare for FIU the same way you would prepare for Middle.

Speaking of Middle, it looks like they are going to run away with the regular season championship. The way they have been playing, who honestly is going to beat them in C-USA? A lot of people on social media  are warning Middle Tennessee of what happened last year with UAB’s early exit in the conference tourney after rolling through the regular season play.

The Blazers must fix their untimely turnovers, be able to withstand another teams run, and not play down to their competition. The Blazers were up 9 and half then came out made the first field goal of the 2nd half and then its turnover city and the Miners were able to get back in the game.

Anyways, that is all in the past. A wise man once told me “The windshield is bigger than the rearview mirror.” So on to the next. The Blazers finish up their Texas road trip in San Antonio where they’ll face the Roadrunners of UTSA. After winning four of its first five games in conference the Roadrunners have lost four straight and come in with a record of 9-13.

UTSA is led by Jeff Beverly who leads the team scoring with 15.8 points per game. I don’t like calling games must win, but, this a must win game for UAB. They better show up and handle their business and get a win.

Score Prediction: UAB 61 UTSA 60
