Rob Ehsan and staff will be hosting an Illinois top forward in the 2018 class in Tamell Pearson this weekend on an official visit.

Recently the 6-foot-10 talented big man cut his list down to six schools — Cleveland State, Missouri State, Murray State, Oklahoma State, UAB and Washington State.

Pearson would be a key piece in replacing William Lee and Chris Cokley next season, and should compliment Jude Akabueze nicely in the interior. Pearson had this to say about UAB when he recently spoke to Prep Hoops:

They are a great school. They are recruiting me the hardest out of everyone. I love the coach. They call me every day and check up on me. I will be able to contribute there my freshman year.
