Behind four days of solid play at the British Masters in Newcastle, the young Irishmen and Blazer great secured his biggest win thus far in his short European Tour career.

It wasn’t without some Sunday drama as one of the greatest golfers in the world, Rory McIlroy, was nipping at his heels and posted a superb 63 to put the pressure on Dunne in the final round.

Paul secured a timely birdie on the 17th to go two up on Rory and ultimately finished out the 18th for the win. This is arguably the second biggest win for a former UAB golfer as Graeme McDowell’s US Open win still holds the top spot.

PAUL DUNNE IS THE GOAT
